The customer who ordered this cutting board saw a post on our Facebook about our laser engraving work and emailed us about combining two pictures of her dogs and adding a quote between them. This was an exciting project for us as everything from the cutting board to the engraving was created solely by us.
Mike made the cutting board from a rough piece of Cherry wood, planned it down and sanded it to perfection before we engraved her custom photos and saying onto the face of the cutting board. For the final touches, we finished it to be food grade safe.
The customer who ordered the memorial photo on bass wood is a local photographer we had purchased prints from previously. We ran into her and were hoping to work with her to engrave pictures of the landscapes she takes on the Mountain.
Unfortunately, shortly after we'd talked with her, her son passed away due to Covid. It was an incredibly hard time for their family and they wanted to commemorate him somehow. They reached out to us and asked if we could help. We were honored to engrave a special photo of her son onto their urn.
